Nice to meet you!

Tamara Daniszewski

She /Her Registered Social Worker, M.Ed, MSW Clinical Director

Sometimes people feel overwhelmed by the idea of starting therapy. They feel lost in the options of looking for a therapist, choosing a therapy modality, and figuring out how it will all fit into their life. People just want to feel better, but answering the question of how to get there seems too overwhelming. I use a holistic and individualized approach to treatment, navigating the uncertainty with each of my clients in their journey to better mental health and more self-compassion. I can help you find your way!

Tamara specializes in treating clinical-level mental health symptoms in children, teenagers and young adults. She works with people with a variety of diagnoses including generalized and social anxiety, depression, OCD, personality disorders, bi-polar, ADHD, gender-dysphoria. Her ideal client is someone who wants to create a better life for themselves, including better control over explosive emotions, or improving maladaptive coping skills such as self-harm or over-sleeping. This is achieved through evidence-based practice (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), matched to the needs of each client.

With 7+ years working in mental health in a hospital setting (Credit Valley Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital), Tamara has completed trainings with esteemed experts and has been supervised by some leading mental health professionals in the region.

“I believe therapy is an opportunity for personal growth and reflection. I put the relationship between myself and my clients above all and work diligently at creating a safe place for people to share sensitive information”.
