Nice to meet you!

Saakishi Agarwal

She /Her Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Beginning therapy is a meaningful and courageous step. I believe that one of the most important parts of this journey is finding the right fit with a therapist. I offer a space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at a pace that feels right for you. My priority is to build a relationship rooted in trust and emotional safety so that you feel supported, respected, and truly seen. From there, we can begin the work in a way that honours your needs, goals, and lived experiences.

Saakshi is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with close to a decade of clinical experience, having started her professional work in India and continuing her practice in Canada. She holds two master’s degrees in psychology and counselling, and brings a thoughtful, culturally attuned lens to therapy, shaped by her international experience and deep respect for individual identity and lived experience. She is known for her calm, grounded presence and her ability to create a space where people feel heard, supported, and understood.

Her approach is integrative and trauma-informed. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based practices, and psychodynamic approaches such as Adlerian therapy. Through extensive supervision and ongoing clinical training, she supports individuals and families with care, adaptability, and clarity.

Her ideal clients are individuals (adults, children, teens, parents, couples, and families) navigating anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or life transitions. Saakshi works especially well with clients who value a space that is responsive to diverse needs, emotionally attuned, and respectful of different ways of thinking, feeling, and being. She offers a therapeutic environment where clients are supported without judgment, and where growth can happen at a pace that feels safe and empowering.

“Therapy can be most helpful when it is thoughtfully tailored to each person. Every client brings something unique, and I take a collaborative approach that adapts to your strengths, challenges, and goals for change. A meaningful therapeutic experience is built not just on your willingness to show up, but also on the therapist’s ability to bring effective tools, clinical insight, and grounded support. I see it as a privilege when someone chooses to share their story with me, and I work to create a space that feels steady, respectful, and deeply supportive as you move toward growth.”
